"Jeykll and Hyde - The Musical" was conceived for the stage by Steve Cuden and Frank Wildhorn, the book and lyrics were written by Leslie Bricusse, and the music was created by Frank Wildhorn.
The production staff for "Jeykll and Hyde" includes Ginger DuVal, who directs the production with Tom Cowley as consultant. Edward Dixon is the musical director for "Jekyll and Hyde" accompanied by production pianist, Connie Van Ausdall.
Kitty Fueshko and Fran Norris are the production choreographers assisted by Mary Beth Garrison. Stephanie Williams serves as the stage manager, with L. Bernard Marsh, set design and set construction; Ardeth Mason, costumes; Chris Williams, light design; Gena Soucek, light board operator; Sean Anderson, sound design; Morgan Ham, sound board operator; Bobbie Carson, props; and Linda Cowley as publicity.
The cast list ranges with actors from the ages of 17 to 72, each of them traveling from Ponca City, Tonkawa and Blackwell to rehearsal five nights a week. This gives viewers an indication of regional theatre working at its best.
Edward Dixon portrays the dual role of the title characters, Dr. Jekyll, a sincere and gifted scientist bent on removing all evil from the world, and his heinous alter ego, Mr. Hyde, a murderous villain with ice water in his veins.
Mary Beth Garrison plays Lucy, a world-weary lady of the evening who yearns for true love; Eric Bradford brings to life the character of Jekyll's lawyer and closest confidante, John Utterson.
Chelsea Mayer plays Jekyll's lovely fiancé, Emma Danvers Carew, with Jordan Blomgren (nee Jason Black) as her ever-rational, compassionate father, Sir Danvers Carew.
Aaron Clark assumes the role of Simon Stride, the pompous, longtime rival of Jeykll, and who is the secretary of the hospital board of governors that determine the fate of Jeyklls' work.
Linda Cowley depicts Lady Beaconsfield, a rich, uncaring snob of the worst variety. Cowley also fills the role of Nellie, a good-natured prostitute at the Red Rat Pub.
Rebecca Marsh as Lady Savage is an annoyingly prideful aristocrat who is loaded with "old money."
L. Bernard Marsh evokes the evil pub owner, Spider, a sordid purveyor of liquor and flesh. Marsh also portrays the wealthy Bishop of Basingstoke, a bombastic, hypocritical man of the cloth.
Stevie Phelps enacts Lady Elizabeth Proofs, counsel to the queen, who is quick methodical and all business. Phelps also plays Mrs. Poole, the faithful servant to Jeykll. She also appears as one of the pub dancers.
Sharon Cochran plays Bissett, the efficient, concerned apothecary to Jeykll. Stephanie Quammen characterizes one of the brazen dancing girls as the Red Rat, and also appears as the demure bridesmaid to Emma.
Tom Cowley portrays General Glossop, an older, formidable, retired military man with a cruel sense of humor.
Pete Shields embodies Jekylls catatonic, hospitalized father. Shield later portrays the Anglican priest who presides over the wedding of Emma and Jeykll as they attempt to begin their new life together.
"Jekyll and Hyde - The Musical" is produced through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
